Filmmaker Shaunak Sen’s acclaimed All That Breathes on Thursday found a location in the best 5 of the best documentary category of 2023 BAFTA Film Awards.
The documentary is nominated in the segment, alongside with All the Natural beauty and the Bloodshed, Fireplace of Love, Moonage Daydream, and Navalny.
The film experienced last month produced it to the BAFTA longlist together with nine other documentaries. Established in Delhi, the documentary follows two siblings, Mohammad Saud and Nadeem Shehzad, who have devoted their life to rescuing and treating wounded birds, especially black kites.
All That Breathes earlier won the Entire world Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Documentary at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, a film gala that encourages unbiased cinema and filmmakers, and attained the Golden Eye award for the ideal documentary at the 2022 Cannes Movie Pageant.
The ultimate nominations for the BAFTA Film Awards ended up announced by actors Hayley Atwell and Toheeb Jimoh. The award ceremony will take position on February 19 at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Pageant Hall.
The organisers unveiled the final nominees for 24 types, like greatest movie, finest director, best actor and actress.
