Researchers from the American Fowl Conservancy have rediscovered a uncommon pheasant pigeon that has not been documented for virtually 140 a long time.
Scientists put in camera traps on Fergusson Island, Papua New Guinea, with the success showing the unusual black-naped pheasant-pigeon strutting in the images.

Observing the visuals was like “finding a unicorn,” mentioned John C. Mittermeier, Director of the Misplaced Birds plan at the American Bird Conservancy and co-chief of the expedition.
