The Wall Township faculty board accepted the settlement agreement with Susan Parsons on Tuesday, NJ Advance Media noted. The district designed no admission of wrongdoing or liability. The revenue will be paid out by the district’s insurance policy provider.
Parsons was the high school’s yearbook adviser when she mentioned a secretary acting on behalf of the principal ordered her in 2017 to get rid of “Trump Make America Terrific Again” and make it appear as if the college student was donning a plain navy blue T-shirt.
“That has to go,” the accommodate alleged Parsons was instructed.
Parsons, who stated she voted for Trump in 2016, explained she was built a scapegoat and obtained loss of life threats. She was suspended with pay out after the incident. She claimed she on a regular basis complained about becoming forced to change photos.
Parsons will get about $204,000 and the remainder of the settlement will address lawyer costs, in accordance to the arrangement.
The university district reissued the yearbook with the first unaltered image.
